National Service Resources & Overview

The New York State Office of National & Community Service (ONCS) is designated as the administrative agency for the Governor's Commission on National and Community Service. In this role, ONCS provides oversight to the AmeriCorps national service portfolio of programs for the state. ONCS also coordinates with the Corporation for National and Community Service and State Education Department to support the SeniorCorps, Service Learning, and VISTA national service programs. These programs provide the foundation for service in the state and national service members conduct outreach to connect New Yorkers of all ages and backgrounds with volunteer opportunities to meet local community needs.
